Premier Winter Competition
Welcome to Geelong Baseball Association
Established in the 1930s, the Geelong Baseball Association offers senior men, women and junior competitions to clubs and teams from metropolitan Geelong, Colac, Werribee, Bacchus Marsh, Lara and Ballarat. Competition is conducted from early April through to September.
In consultation with other stakeholders, the Geelong Baseball Association is committed to developing our great game through maintaining a competent, progressive administration and providing professionally conducted local and affiliated competitions and events at all senior and junior levels.
Since the magnificent Waurn Ponds Baseball Centre was opened in 2002, Geelong has attracted a host of major baseball events, including the Provincial Series, international matches, two Japanese training camps, international “Friendship” games, AAA Series, Claxton Shield games and Masters Series.
Such events are promoted and delivered jointly by the Geelong Baseball Association, the Geelong Baycats summer club and tenant clubs – often in conjunction with Baseball Victoria, the state governing body.
With outstanding facilities that are meticulously maintained by the City of Greater Geelong, its proximity to Melbourne and popular tourist destinations, Geelong is ideally placed to host major baseball events, with exciting announcements to be made over the coming months.
